step 12 For the coat of the road monitor, a different technique was used. Instead of a darker glaze over a lighter base, I have done the opposite; a pure white opaque over opaque blue. There was no specific reason for this, things can always be done in different ways. A possible reason was that I had initially blocked in the blue of the coat, without really knowing how I was going to attack it. As in life, sometimes you just have to move first, and plan later. After the white was applied, I then used glazes over this white in parts. You can also see here how I have dragged the end of a brush through the red paint of the stop sign, to reveal the green underneath. |
